Decisions are discussed and agreed as part of a team, and results and processes reviewed with a facilitator to understand what happened and why, building skills that transfer directly to the workplace.
As a Marketeer by trade, I didn’t expect to enjoy a finance-heavy module, but the business simulation completely changed that. Our team ran a fictional robotics company, making strategic, financial, and operational decisions over multiple trading periods. We could see - instantly - the impact of our choices on profit, market share, and morale. It was competitive, realistic, and surprisingly addictive. Out of all the modules so far, the learnings have been applied most to my day-to-day role, from speaking the language of finance teams to introducing new measurement tools to my organisation. The simulation was a real highlight of the MBA programme.
